Join our webinar to strengthen your understanding of CAANZ ethical standards—as we review and cover key principles and the Code of Ethics.
This co-presented webinar provides an opportunity to review professional ethics applicable to accountants and will satisfy part of the six hours of training required by CAANZ/NZICA every three years.
Ethics is one of the cornerstones of our profession. Its existence and our accountability under it help increase trust in the profession.
The webinar will focus specifically on the ethical standards of CAANZ, covering:
- An introduction to ethics
- A review of what ethics is
- An overview of the Code of Ethics
- The five fundamental ethical principles:
- For members in practice
- For members in a business
Throughout the webinar there will be a number of examples used to illustrate the points being made.
Please note, the webinar does not cover anything pertaining to ethics for assurance and audit engagements.

Mike Hadwin, Director, Symmetry Advisory Ltd, presenting on behalf of TEO
Mike Hadwin is a member of CAANZ and a regular presenter for TEO Training Ltd. He has presented a number of ethics seminars and webinars for both TEO and CCH for several years. You’ll learn from Mike’s 40 years of experience as a public CA and facilitator. His clear presentation style enables you to quickly understand and apply practical learning concepts to common situations you may face in your role.
Scott Mason, Governor, presenting on behalf of TEO
Scott was previously a Senior Partner in the Tax Advisory team at Findex with over 30 years’ experience advising on tax matters, primarily for larger owner-managed businesses throughout NZ. He is now a full-time Governor. Scott is a regular presenter for TEO Training and CCH, and former Chair of the CAANZ Tax Advisory Group. Scott is renowned for making complex issues understandable.
