Understanding Parental Leave!

Understanding and calculating leave entitlements when your employees are heading off on parental leave or when they have returned can prove to be a difficult process to manage in payroll.

With many of the legislative acts being difficult to interpret, this webinar will provide insight into processing leave relating to parental leave, including a look at:

• Managing changing entitlements – the effect of reduced hours per week
• Managing the employee’s annual leave entitlements
• Administering the payroll to ensure the employee is paid correctly for annual leave.
• Practical examples to work through
• Administering the documentation required over the application and return to work period.

LEARNING OUTCOMES 

Attendees will learn the range of leave types available, how to apply changing working hours to the employee’s existing entitlements and how to record, calculate and pay annual leave correctly.
We will also look at the documentation that both parties are required to complete during this process.
