Jarod Chisholm, Findex (TEO)

Jarod is a senior partner in the Otago Tax Team for Findex/Crowe and has been a regular presenter for TEO Training and CCH, presenting on a wide range of topics in all areas of tax. Jarod’s background includes working in “Big 4” firms in Australia and New Zealand in the tax domain, and working for large corporates as a management accountant. Jarod is recognised as an industry leader in the area of foreign investment and regularly assists other accountants/advisors with their clients. He provides commercial, practical advice in all areas of tax.

Stephen Richards, Findex (TEO)

Stephen is Associate Partner in Tax Advisory for Findex/Crowe, the largest accounting firm in New Zealand specialising in the SME/HNWI space. He has been practising in tax advisory for 20 years and is a sought-after speaker on tax topics, including for CCH and TEO Training courses and lecturing at the University of Otago.

Daniel Gibbons, Findex (TEO)

Daniel is a partner for Findex in Queenstown. He has been with Findex for 11 years, where he advises on a wide range of tax matters, including property transactions and property ownership structures, international taxation issues, the tax treatment of investments and providing structuring advice to clients, including assistance for family group restructures. Daniel is recognised as a leader in the taxation treatment of short stay accommodation, providing training to other practitioners.

Mike Hadwin, Symmetry Advisory (TEO)

Mike is a long term presenter for TEO Training and more recently for CCH. You’ll learn from Mike’s 30-plus years of tax experience as a public CA and facilitator. Martyn Solomon, Findex (TEO)

Martyn leads the AML/CFT advisory and audit teams at Findex/Crowe in New Zealand. He is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (ACAMS certified) and has presented on AML/CFT for both CCH and TEO Training. He is recognised as a leader in this area was a member of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) working group for the accounting profession’s implementation of the AML/CFT Act.

Nola Crafar, Findex (TEO)

Nola is a Senior Taxation Manager in the Otago Tax Team for Findex. Before joining Findex, Nola worked in law firms around New Zealand and as a solicitor for the Inland Revenue Department. She provides advice on a wide range of areas including managing Inland Revenue Department audits and debt cases, taxation of trusts and residence issues, the use of Limited Partnerships and Look-Through Companies, and GST implications arising from a wide variety of transactions.

Craig Macalister, Findex (TEO)

Craig is a Taxation Advisory Partner at Findex in Invercargill. He has unrivalled experience in this role, providing the firm and its clients with advice on all aspects of GST, income tax and fringe benefit tax. He joined Findex following his role as Tax Director with the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants. This role primarily involved leading the Institute’s direction and input on tax policy and overseeing the Institute’s Tax Advisory Group. Craig is a co-author of the Staples Tax Guide and GST in New Zealand.

Ryan Watt, Findex (TEO)

Ryan is an associate partner in the Tax Advisory team at Findex. He has a wide range of clients from privately owned New Zealand companies to multinational groups, to whom he provides a broad spectrum of tax, mergers and acquisitions, and transaction services advice. Ryan specialises in providing advice on international tax, mergers and acquisitions/transaction services, corporate tax matters, property tax, trans-Tasman tax and agriculture (including aquaculture).

Peter Loerscher is the Principal of Peter Loerscher International Tax Limited and was previously (2005 to 2018) Inland Revenue’s Principal Advisor International Tax (SME). Peter is an accountant/tax specialist with a strong focus on international tax and is a well-known presenter.
