Jarod Chisholm

Jarod is Principal of the Dunedin Tax Team for Crowe Horwath. He has been involved in a number of commercial restructuring transactions and business sales/acquisitions. His areas of interest include international taxation, foreign investments and Trans-Tasman operations and taxation issues.

Tony Marshall

Tony Marshall, Crowe Horwath (TEO)

Tax Principal at Crowe Horwath, Tony has over 12 years of experience working with rural businesses on the various tax issues that they face.  Tony also understands the practical side of farming, having grown up on one of the most successful dairy farming operations in New Zealand during the 1980’s and 90’s. While Tony is recognised as an expert tax advisor in the rural sector, he also has a broad knowledge of the New Zealand tax system and has also presented for TEO on the Foreign Investment Fund Regime, Tax Losses, Taxation of Property Transactions, and Look Through Companies.

Stephen Richards

Stephen is Technical Director in the Otago Tax team at Crowe Horwath. He oversees the CCH/TEO Questions and Answer service which provides timely and practical answers to tax questions to practitioners throughout New Zealand. Stephen has a broad knowledge of the New Zealand tax system and advises a wide range of clients on all aspects of New Zealand tax law.

Daniel Gibbons, Crowe Horwath (TEO)

Daniel is an Associate Partner for Crowe Horwath in Queenstown. Daniel has been with Crowe Horwath for 10 years, where he advises on a wide range of tax matters, including property transactions and property ownership structures, international taxation issues, the tax treatment of investments and providing structuring advice to clients, including assistance for family group restructures. Daniel is recognised as a leader in the taxation treatment of short stay accommodation, providing training to other practitioners.

Martyn Solomon is an Associate Partner at Crowe Horwath. He is a Chartered Accountant, Chartered Internal Auditor (IIA UK), and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (ACAMS) with 20 years of assurance experience. Martyn specialises in internal audit and AML/CFT compliance and leads the AML/CFT advisory and audit team at Crowe Horwath in New Zealand.


Julie Ramsay

Julie is Crowe Horwath’s Risk Management and Compliance Manager. Her role crosses all service lines at Crowe Horwath but she works particularly closely with the audit partnership on risk and compliance matters specific to them, such as Independence. Julie helps to keep Crowe Horwath NZ abreast of changes in the ethics space.
