GST and Associated Persons 2026 - 21 April 2026 (On Demand)

On Demand Event |
  • $195.00 excl. GST

Description

Join us to simplify a complex part of GST and avoid common pitfalls – we clarify on one of GST’s trickiest areas: supplies between associated persons.

When a supply of goods or services is between associated persons a set of specific GST rules apply. These rules can alter the taxable period in which the supplier must account for the supply, the value of the supply on which GST is levied, and the amount of the recipient’s GST input tax deduction. The rules around claiming GST on the acquisition of a secondhand good from an associated person have long been a problem area and have been subject to several amendments over the last few years.

This webinar will cover:

  • Who are associated persons for GST purposes
  • The Time of Supply rules applying to associated supplies
  • The Value of Supply rules applying to associated supplies
  • GST input tax deduction when a secondhand good is acquired from an associated person
