Description

Find out how the new Government’s changes to employment law legislation will impact on your business

Are you ready for changes to employment laws?

Join our webinar to ensure that both your organisation and your clients comply with new legislation.

In this webinar, we will explore practical insights of employment law changes recently enacted, or due to take effect this year.

Find out how to implement and manage legislative changes to your workplace, including:

  • Expansion of the 90-day trial period to cover all employers
  • Health and safety changes including workers’ requests for committees and representatives
  • Protection for employees from exploitation
  • Repeal of the Fair Pay Agreements legislation
  • Minimum wages set to increase from 1 April 2024

Find out how to update employment agreements, policies, and procedures, based on recent legislative changes.

We will consider proposed changes that could make sweeping changes to the employment law landscape, including:

  • Flexible use of Paid Parental leave. Find out how parental leave may be shared between partners on paid parental leave.
  • Simplification of the personal grievance process and changes to eligibility of remedies. Employees with a higher income may be ineligible to raise a personal grievance, and anyone who contributed to a personal grievance may not receive remedies.
  • The use of restraint of trade clauses may be restricted to higher income earners if legislation is passed.

The webinar will provide practical advice on how to implement these changes in your day-to-day management of staff and HR practice.
