Scott leads the New Zealand Tax Team for Crowe Horwath and has been a tax specialist for over 20 years. Scott is a member of NZICA’s Tax Advisory Group and is a sought-after presenter on tax matters for TEO and other organisations for many years. He specialises in corporate restructuring, business sales negotiation and land tax issues.
Jarod Chisholm, Crowe Horwath (TEO)
Jarod is Principal of the Dunedin Tax Team for Crowe Horwath. He has been involved in a number of commercial restructuring transactions and business sales/acquisitions. His areas of interest include international taxation, foreign investments and Trans-Tasman operations and taxation issues.
Tony Marshall, Crowe Horwath (TEO)
Tax Principal at Crowe Horwath, Tony has over 12 years of experience working with rural businesses on the various tax issues that they face. Tony also understands the practical side of farming, having grown up on one of the most successful dairy farming operations in New Zealand during the 1980’s and 90’s. While Tony is recognised as an expert tax advisor in the rural sector, he also has a broad knowledge of the New Zealand tax system and has also presented for TEO on the Foreign Investment Fund Regime, Tax Losses, Taxation of Property Transactions, and Look Through Companies.
Maree McGregor, Crowe Horwath (TEO)
Maree trained as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in London in the financial services audit group. She participated as a reviewer in KPMG’s global compliance review programme for 3 years, visiting KPMG member firms in Europe, Asia and the Middle East to assess their compliance with KPMG risk management policies.
Maree seconded to KPMG Sydney in 2010, and joined Crowe Horwath as the New Zealand Quality and Risk Manager, maintaining a small portfolio of audit clients.
Anthony Heffernan, Crowe Horwath (TEO)
Anthony has fourteen years of professional accounting experience, providing audit and business advisory services across a wide variety of industries to both publically listed, privately owned clients and not-for-profit entities including government funded organisations.
Anthony is currently leading the Wellington Audit Team as an Associate Principal and is the National Financial Reporting Specialist for Crowe Horwath New Zealand. He is widely recognised for his significant financial reporting expertise. Anthony specialises in providing solutions that are both technically correct, practical to implement and enhance the usefulness of published financial statements.
Stephen Richards, Crowe Horwath (TEO)
Stephen is Technical Director in the Otago Tax team at Crowe Horwath. He oversees the CCH/TEO Questions and Answer service which provides timely and practical answers to tax questions to practitioners throughout New Zealand. Stephen has a broad knowledge of the New Zealand tax system and advises a wide range of clients on all aspects of New Zealand tax law.
Lucia Vincent, Crowe Horwath (TEO)
A solicitor for Janet Copeland Law since 2007, LUCIA is passionate about employment law. Based in the Dunedin office as Senior Solicitor, Lucia presents on and works closely with clients on all employment law matters. She regularly represents clients at Mediation and the Authority, assists with disciplinary, performance and personal grievance issues, develops and reviews employment agreements and policy, guides employers through restructuring and redundancy processes and actually enjoys interpreting and applying employment and holiday legislation.
