Incorporated Societies 2023 Part 2 – Incorporation and Income Tax Considerations

The legislation governing Incorporated Societies has been reviewed and a new Act came into force on 5 October 2023.

Existing incorporated societies and will need to re-register to remain an incorporated society. New societies wanting to register will automatically register under the new Act.

  • An outline of key considerations under the new Act
  • The taxation framework for clubs and societies
  • Income tax exemptions
  • Allowable deductions
  • The taxation approach for mutual associations
