The challenges of navigating your way through company law as a new practitioner or a practitioner new to company law

This webinar looks at some of the important foundational elements in company law by working through a client fact scenario and considering the following elements:

• Companies Act 1993
• Company Constitutions
• Shareholder Agreements

Our fictious fact scenario will work through a situation concerning a new client wishing to setup a company with another director and 3 shareholders. We will consider:

• our client’s obligations under the Companies Act 1993;
• whether our client ought to have a company constitution and the type of things to think about when preparing it; and
• whether our client ought to have shareholders agreement as well as the sorts of issues that need to be talked through.
