This webinar will provide a number of case studies that consider various aspects of the income tax depreciation rules. The case studies will illustrate difficulties that can arise within the depreciation rules.

There will be specific case studies that will illustrate technical issues and give practical explanations of the key tax considerations for the specific situations presented.
The case studies covered in the webinar will include the following:

  • Identifying what depreciable property is
  • What to do when you forget to claim depreciation
  • Treatment of website development costs
  • Distinguishing depreciable assets in a residential and commercial building fit-out
