Death of a Farmer 2021 - 28 July 2021 (On Demand)

Description

Death and Taxes – Life’s Two Certainties

Whilst death and taxes are a reality that everyone must face, the death of a farmer creates some unique and complex issues that need to be addressed.

In this webinar we will discuss the tax rules applying on death in relation to:

  • Livestock
  • Income equalisation
  • Farming companies
  • Farming partnerships
  • Succession

We will also discuss the impact of the changes to Trust law and what we should be thinking about from an overall structural perspective so that prospective tax issues on death are mitigated and planned for.

The webinar assumes a reasonable level of familiarity with farm accounting and taxation issues and will be practically focused.
