AML - CFT Compliance Officer Duties 2021

Description

Ongoing obligations and expectations

2020 and 2021 have seen a clear increase in enforcement activity by the AML/CFT Supervisors with the FMA and RBNZ undertaking their first formal enforcement activities and the DIA issuing its first formal warnings to Phase 2 businesses.

  • Details of AML/CFT Compliance Officer areas of non-compliance identified by the DIA in its regulatory findings and enforcement actions.
  • Details of AML/CFT Compliance Officer areas of non-compliance identified by us during our Section 59 independent audits.
