This webinar will provide a brief overview and history of the Māori people and societal structures which are fundamental components in understanding the Māori economy and Māori business. The webinar will delve into some key elements and context of the Māori economy, Māori organisations and key industries. We will then discuss Māori innovation, what makes Māori organisation distinct and the key characteristics of a Māori business. Finally, we will bring all of this together and identify ways how to have effective, genuine and authentic engagement in the Māori sector.

This webinar is presented by Anthony Ruakere, Director, and Phoebe Monk, Manager, EY Tahi in conjunction with the College of Law, a school of professional practice for lawyers in Australia and NZ.
